The Moonflower is poison, it blooms at night and can cause frightening phsycedelic effects lasting for days. Beauty on its surface, but you'll only find nightmares and hope for death.
The Moonflower Film Festival invites the Horror, Alien Sci-fi, Queer and Local Short Films for a weekend celebrating Fall, Halloween, Art and Cinema.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
First and foremost, FILMS! We want to showcase quality genre short films that tell stories with mystical qualities, magical realsim, visual allagories and human connection. We love practical effects and empathatic journies told cinematically.
We are also filmmakers and plan this to be beneficial both in a showcase and networking opportunities with VIP industry guests we have planned.
October is the month long Highway 62 Art Tours, 100s of artists in the desert open their studios to the public, it brings in a lot of tourism and great artistic energy to the area.
